Rating: 5/5
Insurance Company Description: Youi is a registered Australian insurance company, part of the Rand Merchant Insurance Holdings (RMIH) Limited Group of Companies. RMIH is a large diversified international holding company for premier insurance brands. Youi has the images of acting for the interests of their customers, cheaper than other brands, unique and cool.
Covers: Car insurance, home insurance, contents insurance
Pros: Their services are great if you are a low risk driver, with a good driving history and a good insurance history. Their policy can be viewed online, and unlike others, their policy is interactive and hassle free to change.
It is reported by some customers that their claims are easy and fast to make. Youi will send an assessor to inspect your car within 24 hours of the accident, and three days later, the car will be off to repair. Staffs are well informed, helpful and friendly with a 24 hotline for customers to ring if unpredicted damages strikes their way.
Cons: Many have complaint that the staffs in Youi Insurance asks too much questions in order to determine what type of a driver you are, and this can take up a lot of time. Their prices can go up if you are not a low risk driver, with prices surging twice as much from other insurance companies. The fees can go up to an extra $600 or even double that. Sometimes it may not be your fault, and if asked to explain, they reply that they will return a call but never does.
Overall: It is apparent that Youi is a small car and home insurance company and feedbacks for them are only positive if the policyholders are low risk drivers. However if someone of more records takes on Youi, prices can go up as well as complaints.
Insurance Fort believes that Youi is a company worth purchasing insurance from.

Pros: Nil
Cons: Youi is not for me. I live high on the hill, in fact Iâm up with the town reservoir, and if my property is ever flooded than we will all literally need Noahâs Ark. I also live in a suburb that was heavily affected by the 1974 and the more recent floods and therefore my insurance premiums rose accordingly. How delighted I was to watch Youiâs advertisement on âThe Morning Showâ where they stated that they would tailor your policy to suit your individual circumstances. They even stated that if you live on the top of the hill, you shouldnât have to pay the same premiums of those at the bottom of the hill in flood area. Whether this is morally right or wrong or fair to all or not, the bottom line is that I would benefit by taking a home insurance policy such as this. I attempted to obtain a quote on-line only to be informed that my area is in risk of being inundated and Youi do not provide policies for any homes in this area. I then rang Youi and explained the whole situation to the call attendant who eventually performed the on-line quote process and gave me the same advice. I explained the advertisement I had just watched and he advised he would take this up with his Supervisor. Later that day he rang back and explained that Youi will not cover any homes, high on the hill or not, in a suburb/area that was greatly flood affected. Do not bother contacting Youi if you are in the same situation. Is this false advertising or is it just not telling the whole truth?
