Insurance Review: Worldcare Insurance Reviewed by Insurance Fort

Rating: 5/5 on

Insurance Company Description: Worldcare Travel Insurance is a company that has been providing quality travel insurance to Australians customers with more than 10 years of experience. Worldcare is currently underwritten by one of the world's leading insurance companies, Allianz. Worldcare's mission is to simplify all the stress and burdens that may happen while traveling.

Covers: Travel insurance

Pros: The major factor for being with Worldcare Travel Insurance is their great pricing. Their rates, if compared to other travel insurance providers in Australia, are cheaper and more reasonable. The staffs and representatives that handles all enquires are noted to be kind, caring and passionate about what they do. Customers can easily get a quote over the phone or through their website. Policies and premiums can be bought instantly.

Their payout rate for claims is high. Many cases have been recorded about customers needing emergency cash while they were overseas. After giving Worldcare a call and filling in the straightforward claim forms, the money was delivered to their account.

Overall: Worldcare Travel Insurance is an admired insurance for everyone that is serious about getting protected while they are on holidays. However there are a few things to note. A lot of customers have complained about their coverage policies.

It is very important that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions, Policy Statements and Product of Disclosure. This will give you a better insight about what you will be protected for. A lot of travellers in the past had made the common mistake by not reading them and ended up paying for a policy that did not cover what they thought would cover.

If there is anything you don't understand about, make sure you call the customer support line or find a local insurance adviser that may give you a helping hand.

Insurance Fort believes that Worldcare Travel Insurance is a company worth purchasing insurance from.

Pros: Easy to buy online

Cons: Many things. You think you are covered only to find out that you are not . Reasons given for not covering me were pathetic to put it mildly. Poor service provision from emergency assistance line. Poor comprehension of the concept of disabling injury. Long wait to answer phones.

Overall: Had comprehensive cover. Fell over in Europe and broke my foot. Ended up in a cast and on crutches. Could no longer walk. Treatment was rest and elevation of limb no weight-bearing for six weeks. Discussed same with Worldcare. No help from them to get home. Got ourselves home. Submitted claim. They paid for trip to hospital but not for cancellation costs or extra costs for coming home early. Found we were dealing with Allianz not Worldcare. We were told 'no medical reason to come home' We just 'changed our minds' Allianz thought there was no reason why I should not stay overseas and hop through Europe on one leg for the remaining four weeks as the treatment was conservative.

Pros: Everything. Great support and passionate staffs!

Cons: nothing yet.

Overall: I love Worldcare insurance! I am very concerned with what happens to me overseas because getting help can be very hard! Once I got a quote and realised it was cheaper than all the other insurance companies that I have been with in the past, I knew I was going to purchase one of their policies.

This is my second time going overseas with Worldcare and I am very looking forward to it! I only needed to make once claim once when my plane got delayed due to the ash clouds.
