Vero is currently listed as one of the top 25 companies in the nation, and offer insurance solutions for small businesses to larger cooperation, and across multiple industries.

Pros: Similar to most of the other top Australian insurance firms, Vero has an excellent customer support line that will handle all your requests and questions within the same go. Staffs are noted to be friendly, engaging and passionate about helping you choose the perfect insurance. Quotes can easily be made on the spot, and the process to become an official member is very simple.

Their rates are very competitive and excesses are cheap. There are cases about drivers getting damaged in a traffic collision and were able to make a claim easily due to the simple forms they needed to fill out. This is great for people that speaks English as a second language, or if they are not experienced with formal documents.

Repairs are hassle free and are usually handled efficiently.

Overall: Vero has proved itself to be a good and trustworthy insurance company to choose from. With their great prices and easy processes to make claims, many Australians have looked up to Vero as an excellent insurer.

Before making the final decision to whether join Vero or not, it is extremely important that you have taken the time to read the Terms and Conditions, Policy Statements and the Product of Disclosure. Overall: I'm so disgusted with this insurance!
I had a nissan pathfinder 2005.
They said my car is market value $16000
Three years later i was in a car accident and my 4WD is a wipe off . They said my car is market value $8000.... apparently there was two nissan pathfinder that came out in 2005 and i had the last of the old one in 2005.
Then they took the rest of the premium for the year which left me with $6500.
So i was paying premium for the newer pathfinder $147 a month .... why was i paying $147 per month for an $8000 4WD .... i want a reimbursement or honor the policy !
You think they would hear my problem with them ? NO ! BEING IGNORED ! RIP OFF INSURANCE! NEVER AGAIN!

Pros: nothing Zit!

Cons: Phone system, Had to wait 1hr at a time until I gave up calling, spent over 6 hours on the phone. I think I will be waiting for a long time for these jokers.

Overall: I strongly feel that Vero have a business plan, that plan is to make the client feel like giving up. unfortunately for Vero, I won't give up. I will keep on jumping through there hoops and keeping notes the whole time.

I would not recommend Vero for anything that involves humans or responsibility.

Cons: Discrimination at it\'s lowest level

Overall: Do not depend on Vero during a disaster. I paid religiously or 10 years but when I experienced a house fire at the time of the Christchurch Earthquake they left us to clean up the mess.
I think the Commerce Commission should investigate them as I hear they don\'t pay out to those who have a criminal record, which I did some 30 years previous to this event.
Be warned NZer\'s, they likely pocket the money if a customer does\'nt have a clean record.

Pros: Cheaper than other companies.....and as said on other comments, clear to see why so cheap now!

Cons: Made my first ever claim.......after they were quick to take the Excess money (within 3mins of the phone call), did not hear a think from them........I have called them 8 or so times now in a month since I made the claim, still nobody has taken the initiative to call me! Not what is supposed to happen when you are a paying customer! Each time I speak to them, no answers what so ever, just rubbish excuses and no outcome.....we will call you tomorrow......no call......! No alternative offered as I have no car and havent for a month, and they clearly do not care one bit about their customers!

Overall: Lost themselves a customer and I know many others who have all sorts of insurance with them who are also in the process of changing companies. Will be nothing but bad mouthing them to any potential customers from now on!

Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Cons: Poor service, extended waits on hold on the phone, unwilling to cover cost of all repairs, inabitlity to answer questions and provide information on request, they do not return calls or answer emails, they have been escalating and reviewing our claim for over 2 months, their builder lied on his report Vero know about this but have not addressed it, they drag it out for a really long time for no reason at all. Staff are rude, PR is non existent. Incompetent, un professional company. We are insured with Vero, my client manager is from CLI and our review is being handled by Suncorp. 3 companies handling your claim= massive fail and problems.

Overall: Terrible, disgusting, stressful, pathetic, you get the picture. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company for home and contents insurance at all cost. Dont know what they are like in other areas of insurance but they fail and are useless when it comes to home and contents. Cheap isn\'t always your best option, when this is over I will be going elsewhere even if it cost me hundreds of dollars more.

Pros: In cyclone Yasi they couldn\'t have been more help and I had everything fixed within a couple of months.

Cons: My only gripe is that my monthly payment has gone from $139.00 to $230.00 which is out of my budget and may have to change companies. I\'ve been with Vero for a number of years and have never had to claim, I don\'t claim for little things like a broken tv or lost jewellery only in disasters like Bloody Cyclone Yasi.

Overall: Staff are wonderful couldn\'t have been more caring in a time that was bloody depressing.

Pros: they do take their money out on time

Cons: We have now had their vehicle in storage for going on 90 days, they do not want to compensate us the storage fees or cleaning fees, but do not want us to move the vehicle until they pick it up, as i said going on 90 days we have had it for!!!! come on vero get your act together!!!not happy!!! car wasn\'t fixed to start with, we had to pay out of our own pocket for a second opinion and they will not pay it back even tho they spoke to the other mechanic themselves and said it will be paid back!!!

Overall: Not a very good experience....do NOT recommend!!! We were with them for a very long time and this is the first time we have ever claimed in our lives......really unhappy!!!

Pros: EVERYTHING! I have been with Vero for a long time, and every premium that I have been paying at every renewal was cheap and under my budget!

Cons: Nothing, zit!

Overall: If Vero Insurance was a celebrity, I would be their number one fan! I have been Vero for a very long time. They were actually one of the first insurers that I found that was recommended to me from my dad, who is a mechanic. After going through their policies and coverage, and then calling the customer support line, the man that I spoke to guided me through everything and answered any question I had.

So far, I have only made one claim, and it was by far the best experience I ever had! Damn! I don\'t think I can even put into words how blesed and grateful I feel!
