Pros: We made a claim after our campervan was broken into. SCTI were always very prompt in keeping us informed with the progress of our claim. They also have such a lovely e-mail manner and have dealt with us in a wonderfully professional manner without bringing to bear the image of a corporation.
We have felt a real care and concern for our circumstances and this human compassion and understanding has made such a difference to us. We received a fair settlement and they even used their discretion to provide compensation for items that their policy wording would ordinarily exclude. I was expecting to have to really fight to have to make our claim, but SCTI were a pleasure to deal with.
We have already told our family and friends about what great service we have received from SCTI and I would recommend them highly.

Pros: They really pay! Quotes are pretty much affordable and the customer support was available when we needed.

Overall: I decided to join southern cross insurance when the I thought the insurance offered by my travel agent was too busy. The quote that I got was almost half the price as the one from the agent.
So far, I have only made one claim when I went overseas. The doctor that I visited charged me several hundred dolalrs. After calling southern cross, I was told tha I will be able to make a claim when I get home. I did what they told me, and I was very pleased at the pace everything took place.
I will be using them again.

Pros: Their quote, ease of use and very professinal staffs. The lady that I spoke to was very easy to deal with, she went with me through the process until I was sure what I wnated was what I needed.
Cons: Nothing is bad about this company.
Overall: I am a frequent flyer and because of this, I have been with many travel insurance companies in the past. The one that i was with previously was having issues, not approving my claim when I lost my luggage at the airport. The lady said that it was because i did not take proper care of it... even though I kept arguing that it was the airline\'s fault and not mine.
I decided to change to southern cross travel insurance after seeing some good things about them online. In the first quote that i got, it was cheaper than any of the insurers I had been with in the past. When I looked at what was covered, it is surprisingly more comprehensive!
I am feeling confident that my next trip will be a safe one!
