Guardian aims to let Australia families be in control of their life insurance needs by providing a range of covers such as for children, illness, disability and accidents. At Guardian, buying a life insurance is fast and simple to. The services are flexible, apparent and will offer many stress relief for families during difficult times.

Pros: Joining is easy and fast. The customer support line is noted to be helpful and informative, even letting you find the plan perfect for you without filling in any paper works. Staffs are kind and compassionate about serving.

There are reports about families getting a claim when a member of their family passed away. The claims were received within the same week, enabling the family to use it to cover the funeral costs during their difficult times. As well as that, there are also customers being able to get claims when their children suffered a broken bone.

Cons: Guardian has received several complaints about its response time in the customer support centre for being slow and sluggish. If you are trying to cancel your membership with the company, the procedure can take many weeks including the need to send in multiple emails and calling a few times. Customers should tell the staffs on the support line that they need the process to be as fast as possible.

Premiums in their PDS are not disclosed and may not give it to you if you ask for it.

Overall: Guardian is one of the few insurance companies in Australia that have won the hearts of many. They have proven themselves to be loyal to customers and understanding of their needs. However, some disadvantages include not disclosing their PDS in their premiums.

Like everyone insurance company, especially a life insurer that offers many protection along with a high price, it is wise to make sure you have read all the small words in their fine prints, Terms and Conditions and Policies before you apply for anything. This is to prevent you from changing your mind as cancelling your account with Guardian can be a difficult thing. If you see any words you are not familiar with and have trouble understanding, make sure you call the hotline and ask for help or contact an insurance adviser of your own choosing. This is to minimize you paying for something you don’t need and to know exactly what you are covered for.
