Insurance Company Description: Cover-More is an Australian owned travel insurance firm that was started in 1986. Cover-More has branches all over Australia, New Zealand, and in the United Kingdom, with more than 210 staffs. More than 1,000,000 travelers chooses a Cover-More policy or premium every year.

Pros: From all the travel insurance companies, Cover More had been rated for having the best staff representatives. Many of them are very helpful with extreme patience when handling details. There are records about travelers receiving calls from the staffs, asking if they require any medical assistance while away on vacation.

Prices on their packages are cheaper than other travel insurances. Quotes can be given directly on the spot over the phone.

Cons: The biggest disadvantage and most complained issue about Cover More is the firm not having an actual address. All mails are to be sent to a lock bag mailbox which had lost many important letters and forms in the way. An example are members unable to get their claims processed because their formal documents were either missing or mislaid.

It should be noted that Cover-More is not a big travel insurance firm despite their colorful pamphlets and website. Many of their services are affiliated with other insurers which can sometimes slow down the process of repair and claims.

Overall: Cover-More is still a small travel insurance company. Though many praises had been given to it, there are also a lot of complaints, mostly due to timing problems and unprofessionalism. This firm should only be chosen if you consider yourself a low risk traveler.

Before signing up to a policies or premiums, try to read all the Terms and Conditions, Policy Statements and Product of Disclosure first. This is to lower the risk of you paying for protections that you do not need. Take care on the way how words are used, any complicated jargons or terminologies that may be included.
